Just thought I'd post this link for you all to see and maybe you could express your opinions on it!

Is it bad press or good press for the breed.....I can't decide!

Love the bit were he calls it a b**tard rottweiler of the cat world.....Thats just a quality remark.....

Luke

p.s By the way I only find his comment funny NOT the un-timely death of any felines involved whatever the cause may be! :(

Oh my god.

With publicity like that, the UK will end up like New York. (Bengals will be banned) :(

Certainly an isolated case rather than indicative of the breed, speaking of our two, I've never met such soft cats in all my life, not once have they attacked us in anger - though they do get quite boysterous with each other, so they could be nasty to other cats and the athletic advantage a Bengal has probably doesn't help....

Another good reason to keep your Bengals indoors, so they don't get unwanted publicity like this....

I totally agree Gavin.....Bengals are very physical cats when they're playing, And never have I been attacked by any of ours cats.....They're just big softies! ;)

I've never really 100% believe newspaper articles.....I mean they gotta make it a bit more juicier just to sell the papers haven't they!

Ok there is maybe some truths behind it but sometimes people exagerate a little just to get others on their side in a disagreement.....Kofi is an entire male for sure judging by the size of his head and neck in the photo, And the fights are probably no worse than normal tom-cats battling over the neighbourhood queen.

As for the fox chasing incident.....Well some people choose to hunt them down and rip them apart with hounds  .....Buts thats another subject completely.

No doubt they will gain a little more popularity or should that be notoriety just like when rottweilers where called the devil dogs in the press all them years ago.

p.s Lets hope no-one evens thinks of a ban Siobhan.....I already have the feeling certain people in certain cat circles believe they shouldn't even be a fully recognised breed!

Why in the world are they allowing their Bengal to roam free? Doesn't sound like he is nuetered either. Anyone who lets their cats roam free are taking their chances, that includes the neighbors as well. I like how they tried to get a frightening looking picture, the poor cat is probably just chewing his prawns!
