Here is my future Bengal baby! He is 4 weeks old and I will be picking him up Thanksgiving weekend. I've been going through name lists from Asia, India, Africa, etc but I cannot decide. Any suggestions??? He looks pitiful here, but he is the biggest and boldest of the litter!

How about these:

Harrison
Nemesis
Echo
Waldorf
Kimball
Lymar

If I think of anymore, I will let you know.

Thanks Siobhan, I would like to find something that relates to the Asian leopard cat, or anything that sounds "exotic".... My daughter likes Simba, but it reminds me too much of the movie Lion King. I've been looking at name lists all week, but can't seem to find the right name for the little guy.

Red --
Been thinking of your "name delimma ---

I've found a few "boy" names that fit into your "exotic" name request --
I've also put what the name MEANS beside each one.

RUSTAM - Strong, Brave, Bold, a Hero

KHALIL - best friend, companion

DABI - Dearly Loved

EDREA - Powerful

TEJINI - splendor, power, wisdom

Best I could come up with that have the "Asian" / exotic slant with cool meanings (smile)

Good luck -- he's a gorgeous baby -- and SHAME on you, for saying he looked pitiful in the photo -- he was a TINY baby in that photo .. and I think there is nothing pitiful about him :)

Since you made note that he is the "biggest and boldest of the litter, I picked a couple of names that have "brave, bold or powerful" in them. ;)

I'm sure you can barely wait to have him in your hands for good :D

Thanks Fancidots! I know I know, I should NOT have called him pitiful....poor baby. It was that picture that made me decide I had to have him! Do you know how to pronounce Rustam and Tejini? I have my guess, but not sure. You are correct I can't wait to have him in my hands - less than three weeks now. :D :D

Hi Red -
Not sure about how to pronounce the names... I would guess LONG U on Rustam.... with the tam sounding a little like "tom"

Tejini -- I also don't know -- but I know how I would... hee hee hee

But of course since I'm SOUTHERN... we pronounce EVERYTHING with long vowels (grin)

I'm sort of glad you guys don't hear me talk... If you think my posts are long and draaawn out... you should just HEAR me talk! ;)

I'm simply SO excited for you... but you ALSO have to remember that they are VERY addictive... I drooled for a year, before I 'broke down' and BOUGHT my first bengal... went to get one, came home with TWO.. (the sisters)

Then, a mere few months later, I went AGAIN for ONE... and brought home TWO...
(Dagger and Emma) - also siblings, brother and sister.

With that, I will only add -- you HAVE been forewarned :D
