Man, I can't figure it out. The breeders sent me a document with the information, but when I try to register on the TICA site, it's telling me there's going to be a 'register' button on the left menu but.. I don't see squat! Can someone guide me through the process? Lol.

I'm not seeing where you can register your cat online. Breeders can register. And I don't know if a purebred falls under "household" cat. I do see where there is a form to download to register. When I registered my bengal years ago, I sent in the blue registration form from the breeder and filled out the pedigreed name I wanted for mine. Sent in the money for that and a 5-generation pedigree and that was it. Got the registration and pedigree in about three weeks. If you are having problems, I'm sure there is a phone number to call them and see if they can help you.

Wait a few weeks? Seriously? That doesn't sound right. I thought someone had posted that registration had to be done online, but they still offer a form and you can't pay online. Seems like it is easier to just fill out the form, write a check, and mail it. I've heard TICA is taking forever to send out the registrations, too. I got Raiden's in less than three weeks when I registered him six years ago.

Yeah. For some reason they need to like... verify your account and get it fully activated before you can do it. But they must do it manually because it takes an eon. You can definitely pay online. The whole process can be done online with enough patience.

I just registered for a TDS account, which shows my bengal's registration info. I'll have to dig around a little more to see what else there is. The registration was instant as they already had my email address and name in their system for Raiden. If they try to make to difficult to register purebred cats, owners aren't going to do it. I believe the vast majority of bengals out there are unregistered with TICA or any of the other registrars. There is no law that says you must register your cats and I think most people don't do it. Raiden is the only cat of his litter that is registered.
