Dexter has a couple of mad half hours in the morning and my elderly Burmese is quite up for a chase and play then so I don't need to do anything.
They both then sleep and sleep and sleep!
It's usually in the late evening that Dexter comes alive again and wants to play. By this time as far as my Burmese is concerned it's bedtime and he doesn't want to know so I play with him.
He loves those little shiny plastic sweet wrappers from small chocolates and we will spend ages playing fetch with them. Quite often I stay up past my own bedtime to play with him!
I don't really play when he doesn't want to as I don't want to make him even more hyper than he already is!
