Aww, what a shame. How long have you had her and what's going wrong between her and your other Bengal?

Often the fighting is just part of a healthy relationship - mine fight, wrestle and chase each other for at least half the time they're awake. Sometimes it looks and sounds really nasty but then I sneak a look and find them having a tender moment so I know they love each other deep down

It took 4 months of fighting between my resident female and new boy bengal i brought into the home, and they really did fight, or rather my female bullied the new boy, sometimes i let them get on with it and other times i separated them, she went through a phase of not letting him come into the lounge and would lay across the doorway, so i would lift him over her and bring him in myself..... this went on for just over 4 months, and now he is bigger and more evenly matched she doesnt bully him, in fact they are best friends now, but it does take time.....

Most bengal breeders have a stipulation in their contract that you return the cat to them should you decide that the cat is not suitable. Have you contacted the breeder?

I also would like to chime in that in time they will eventually accept one another. I know how moggies get on playfighting, so I could only imagine how bengals get on. How bad is it?

Before I got Jasper in September last year, Milly my snow was top cat. To begin with both Milly and Rosy hissed all the time at Jasper but after a while Rosy accepted him even though he likes to jump her at every given opportunity. She has even cuddled up to him and washed him.

Milly still has some anger issues with Japser even after 6 months. She will hiss at him if he so dares look at her and she will just lunge at him as she walks past. On a brighter note though she does like to play chase with him on her terms.

A result about an hour ago Jasper was on the stairs and Milly was walking past him, they just sniffed noses and no hissing to be heard. I'm hoping it wasn't a one off of possible love and acceptance.

If you can bear with it for a while longer then I am sure your cats will learn to live in harmony.

I hope these two cats can live together in harmony. It is like the discovery channel over here. They hiss and growl, then the big girl starts running towards the little one in the corner...THis is when I break it up...Should I let it continue..I feel bad bc I have a to place the little female in a spare bedroom by herself. She seems really shy and aloof.

I would try and let them get on with it, that's what I do with Jasper and Milly. I'm sure I read somewhere on a previous post that you shouldn't really intervene, obviously if they are about to cause some serious damage then that's different. Jasper knows sometimes not to make eye contact with Milly coz that will just make her go for him. This is even though Jasper is twice the size of Milly. I do intervene when Jasper is jumping Rosy, coz she's nearly 8 and quite frankly does not need the likes of Jasper annoying her, but she's accepted him anyway.

Milly is back to growling at him again today, so that glimmer of hope yesterday, was just a glimmer. I do feel a little guilty at times, coz if I didn't get Jasper then Milly wouldn't have these anger issues but I wouldn't swap Jasper for the world now. I suppose it's a bit like my two daughters who constantly bicker and fight with each other.

Good luck with whatever you choose to do, she is a gorgeous cat and I hope if given more time they will learn to get along.
