My advice would be to ask him to see a doctor and see about a prescription for allergies. He should at least be willing to bend a little and do that much for you.

As for jumping on tables, etc., you can train them not to do that for the most part however it sounds like he just doesn't like cats, period. That in itself says a lot about a person, in my opinion.

Tell him you come as a package. You wouldn't give up your son for him either. There's no way I would make such a sacrifice for a partner - you and your son obviously love your cats and you should not have to give them up.

My father, though a very quiet man, used to give me advice when I was younger. He said to observe carefully how people treat and feel about animals, because that reveals their true character.

I hope you can work something out so everyone is happy. It must be a difficult time for you. Fingers crossed & possitive vibes.
