Please does anyone know of a suitable loving home for my Female spayed cat,i am advertising her with a heavy heart,ive had her since a tiny kitten,and due to us having a elderly cat i need to re-home her...
She is terrorising my elderly cat and im getting to the point where one of these days she will go too far and something dredful will happen...
Pheobe is a very loving cat and will sit on you for hours having a cuddle,she loves water and if you turn your tap on she comes running to play.
she loves to go outside for 10 mins then jumps as high as the patio to tell you she wants to come in,chirps ,squeeks,and runs in the house.
we have dogs and she likes nothing better than to snuggle up with them.
But as soon as she claps eyes on my elderly girl all hell lets loose....
ive tried feliway from the vets and the vet check is spot on shes a fab cat...
so if any one can offer a loving home for Pheobe please id love to hear from you.
Must be only cat for obvious reasons..

Aww what a shame they can't work things out and at least tolerate each other. I hope you find a good home for Phoebe very soon. How old is she by the way?

I would like to echo what Shantra says on this, my bengal and my 10 year old moggy play fight exactly like this. One will jump on the other and it looks quite viscous if you didn't know they were playing. For me the key thing is that no one gets hurt...if your elderly cat is getting injuries then obviously action needs to be taken. This may be a stupid suggestion but is there any way you can film or photo them when they are 'fighting'? That way experienced people on this forum could see it and give you an opinion.
Of course you must do what's best for both your kitties and I'm sure you aren't taking this decision lightly. Best of luck.

I echo what gembo says too Melanie. I can tell that you really care but we would love to keep you together if we can. My Apollo was turned into a shelter because he didn't get along with an older cat and I really can understand that. Not so much the shelter part but Bengals play really rough and that can be just too much for an elderly cat to take. I agree on the video too because if you are willing to consider a young companion that might just work.

Has she always reacted this way to your other cat? Is it recent? How does the older cat react. It might be as the others suggest normal play or the health issue upsetting your bengal.
Film the fighting. The guys on this forum will be abel to tell if this is agressive fighting or rough play.
