We are at the end of our tether with one of our Bengals, Kashmir is 8 and an ex breeding queen now neutered. We have had her for nearly 6 years and have managed her quirky behaviour previously but I now think she would be happier in another home.

Kash didn't react well to the birth of our first child 5 years ago, inappropriate weeing etc but soon settled with a feliway adapter. We had our second child 13 months ago and Kash is very clearly an unhappy cat. She is again weeing inappropriately to the extent that she's pulling teatowels onto the kitchen floor overnight and weeing in the living room, in laundry baskets, pulling clean laundry off the airer etc. She also pees under our beds and most recently in a kitchen cupboard! She has been checked for a bladder infection and is clear, we have tried feliway and zyklene but no improvement. To be honest I could probably cope with the weeing but she is also hugely agitated by the baby's cries, she will bite whoever is holding the baby when the crying doesn't stop.


I have always been critical of people who rehomed animals when they had babies but I honestly think Kash is extremely unhappy living with a young family.
She gets on well with our older Bengal but has never been a lapcat and isn't fond of strokes I think as a result of lack of socialisation as a kitten. She would make a very lovely single cat for an adult household who understand that Bengals are a bit "different".

She is vaccinated, microchipped, and is an inside/ outside cat. She's brown spotted.
Please help, we are in east Yorkshire and I really think she needs a knowledgable home. The local non breed specific rescues are full to the gunnels and have said they would struggle to home a cat with her issues
