This is heartbreaking...

My husband and I are separating and moving out of our family home and we are forced to re home our 2 Bengal's. Sabre is a seal mink and Kenco is brown marbled. We have their pedigree paperwork so if you have any questions please ask.

Sabre is the calmer of the 2. He loves to sit on ours and our children's laps. He also loves to play and chase your fingers but is very gentle and never actually scratches you. Sabre can often be found in or on your bed at most times of the day. :) Sabre is also fascinated by the bath. He will very often come in and sit on the bath next to you or swish his paw in the water.

Kenco is more timid; he keeps himself to himself during the day as he doesn't like loud noise or the hustle bustle of family life. But he tends to come downstairs when the children are in bed and loves to curl up next to you or on your lap or mostly with Sabre. Kenco can not keep still if you get a cat toy out whereas Sabre tends to watch and occasionally joins in.

They are indoor/outdoor cats and are on dry food only but go mad when you get the ham out to make pack lunches they are very vocal ;) We have 3 young children and both cats are fine with them. They've both used litter trays and are very good with them.. Certainly not aggressive at all. Both boys have been neutered.

We are currently in Hampshire nr Portsmouth.

Link takes you to a folder showing pictures of the boys and their characters and how they are with the family:

Warning. Kenco is a very very vocal cat. Anyone who knows bengals will get what I mean. They are both beautiful and really do deserve a forever home.

The brown marbled boy looks like he may have come from Joy Terry at Horndean - Corsican Bengals. If so, have you spoken to her about rehoming? I got my boy via Joy +1 a few years ago, and she will help all she can if it is one she has bred!

They are gorgeous, and I wish Merlin would accept another (or two) but he is a one parent child, and won't share me!

Sad for you.

I second the speaking to the breeder just in case they can help you.

I wish you all the best in your search for a new owner.

Great info about the two of them which should help to rehome them.

Can i just make one request, as a breeder i would be sad to hear that any of my kittens were rehomed without letting me know. Would either the OP or the new owner please let the breeder know of the situation.

Please don't see this as a criticism as it is not meant as one in the slightest.

I see the kittens welfare as my responsibilty as a breeder and choose the homes i sell to carefully. I would much rather take in a cat/kitten in this situation to rehome or aid the old owners with help to find a new home.

Again, not being critical i'm just making a request.

I can assure you that we have done our homework, and not gone into this lightly, I have visited Felicity @ wildskies, although these cats have nothing to do with her, also been chatting about the best way forward with Glittergems, and visiting them tomorrow for more help and support, although again the cats have nothing do to with them either, me and the owner are still in talks, at present we are very happy to rehome them, and by the way I have always had cats and dogs, brought up on a farm, had 4 kids, taken on my husbands two kids, and not gone into this lightly, but yes although you maybe a breeder, I have dealt with breeders that dont care who their kittens go to, all they are interested in is the money, would not even let us visit them!!!!
So it can cut both ways, and the owner has gone back to the breeder and the breeder is not interested!!!!!!!

I am not really sure why you felt the need to reply in that manner. I was merely asking that the OP perhaps talk with the breeder.

I did not once question whether you were suitable to rehome the cats in question. I think the vast majority of responsible breeders care very deeply about their kittens. Most do not even make money out of breeding.

I have no idea who Glittergems are or Wildskies. I am not questioning whether you should be allowed to have the cats or whether you are responsible.

A polite response to my post would have been:

Unfortunately the breeder of these cats was not interested in them when the OP contacted them.

I do feel a little bit offended by you!
