You know, I tried Facebook and MySpace but didn't have much of a response actually - I get so frustrated as I send out the epetitions to people including friends and people always say the same ' oh yeah I got it but I haven't had time' but funnily enough they have time to send forwards sorry for ranting but I get so upset about this subject and mad when noone seems to care, I didn't know about the Europe one - its just awful and the cruelty in this world seems to be endless - maybe some people do and say nothing as 'ignorance is bliss'.

Back when I was a kid in the 80's/90's there was a rumour about cats being stolen off the streets to be used for fur and certain areas being targeted at a time - with that in mind I have always got my cats in as soon as it gets dark as I'm not taking any risks.

Anyway i'm going off the subject now - I think a website is a good idea - I was obviously hoping for support off the BGF being that everyone on here loves cats as much as I do - so - thank you.

The calendar idea seems like a really good one, how about the model/celebrity's pet cat/dog featuring in the photographs too?
Although would need to be tasteful, not like a calendar of naked bikers and their pets I saw on Graham Norton's show one time ....

that was kinda the idea i had - but i just thought about using friends and willing participants.. do you think that would work? I have a few people up for it not not quite the 13 I need (2 for gemini) i thought if the pics were good enough - and the calendar was well publicised then it could be a success? someone said to me that the subject of animal rights was too controversial for it to be successful though..

i don't know...i could imagine it working with good publicity
it's the sort of story they tend to pick up on with evening tv chat shows like richard & judy...or even better paul o'grady. he's all for animal rights.

Hehehe, I'd be up for being a "model" for you but don't think my hubby would like it! Paul O'Grady is a good idea, he always has features about pets. Will PM u my email now.
