Hi - the first thing you need to do is open an account with a hosting site like Photobucket or Tinypic (they're free). You upload your pictures onto their site so that they host them and then copy the [IMG] code into your message. There's a guide to Tinypic in the Gallery part of the forum and Photobucket is much the same process.

It sounds complicated but once you get the hang of it, you'll be fine. Good luck

If it helps, I find Tinypic really easy to use.

One tip though, if your photo is a large file (it will be if it's a decent digital camera) cut down the file size by opening the photo up in paint, click on image, then stretch/skew and where it says 100% change it to 50%. That will reduce the file size enormously, and therefore the upload time to upload the pic. Sometimes you think nothing's happening when uploading the photo, but if it's a large file, this is what happens.

Good point Lance - in Photobucket there's a setting that automatically reduces your pictures when you upload them - I use the large setting (640 x 480) which seems about right for messageboards.
