This is my other Siamese "baby" Cleo:

My parents got her as a kitten when I was 11yrs old, she is now 10 and I am 21, she lives with my mother but having grown up with her I still think of her as my baby too. Just recently she has started "getting old", she has been ill on and off and my mother has said we had better be prepared

Since moving out and getting into my own life she has somewhat shunned me I am no longer there everyday and when I was pregnant with my son she wouldn't come near me! Now she looks at me as if to say "who is this child you bring with you when you come to visit?"

She is beautiful! Lovely colour!

She should still have many more years ahead of her. The cat I grew up with, just a DSH, we got her when I was 7 years old. I am now almost 26 and she is still going. But I have to admit, our cat looks worse for wear! Her fur now stands up in places and looks mangy. Her weight goes up and down, she barely has any teeth left. It is quite sad. But she has had a very good life.

I think your other baby should still have a good stretch of life to live!

I hope so too, she keeps going off her food for days, when she does eat it frequently comes back up. Can't remember what my mum said the vet said the problem was now but she was treated and was better for a while but she keeps having these periods of not eating, it is such a worry. Our previous Siamese, (which was a rescue cat) was about 8 yrs old when we got her and she had kidney problems and was slowly going blind, she had to be put down at 12yrs old. I can remember towards the end (I must have been 9 or 10 at the time) her walking into the coffee table and walking round and round, not sure if she knew where she was going or not bless her.
My grandmother had a Siamese too, I was 3 when they got her as a kitten and she never liked me, I think I was a bit of a boisterous toddler LOL, by the time I was 10 she started to like me and would come to my lap for cuddles
