Could someone give me a rough estimate please as to what price one can expect to pay for a 'breeding/show standard' bengal please?

Do you pay a premium for having an animal which is not neutered?

Also do you pay more for certain 'types' ie snow?

well from my personal experience, (although im not a breeder just an avid "browser")

"pet" kittens (which can be show quality but would be sold under a neutering contract) would range from £350 -£650 ish

and "breeding kittens" (which would normally only be sold to either a known breeder or someone judged to be competent to breed) would range from around £1000 to £1500. i believe queens are slightly cheaper than studs.

snows do seem to be a little more expensive than browns but this is not always the case...

I was just reading a post in the 'breeding section'. "a serious question to breeders".

Its very interested to find that some people are having problems selling their kittens. I understand the neutering and the reasons behind this. But from a 'newbies' point of view, £1500 for a cat from which you could breed from is a serious amount of money to outlay.

Maybe I'm trying to compare the 'cat world' to the way the 'dog world' works but the cost does seem to be quite high.

I can understand why some people (who would want to make a quick buck, or just wanted a pet cat) would buy X breed and 'cheap bengals'.
