Christina, yep, those are the dolls I collect. They call them reborns. There was a show in the UK called "my fake Baby"....is that the one you watched?
Some of them can be very life-like. Alot of the shows on reborns make us collectors sound extremely nuts. But the programs usually highlight the people that take them out in prams and treat them like real babies.
I love babies but I am not having anymore (one was enough LOL) so the dolls are kinda fun. I don't take them out in public unless meeting up with other collectors or going to sales or shows. I do buy outfits for them but I don't change them....I just buy one or two , put it on and leave it. My spare room is set up as a baby nuusery but it is just for decor....I know the dolls aren't real! LOL.
Alot of the collectors I know consider them to be art work and never touch them, just put them behind glass to look at.
Actually, since I have Mojo all my extra cash is being spent on cat toys and othe cat items so I haven't been to "into" my doll collecting.
