Go to somewhere like Animal Concern and they'll just ask for a contribution towards their expenses, plus you know you've given a home to a cat who desperately needs one. They suggested £60 (in total) for my three moglets and the whole process was fantastic. I would definitely do it again if I wanted another moggie.

Why does she want one by wednesday?? I know when we lost our old cat and were looking I was amazed the prices people charged for kittens.. but I guess if your taking on a pet you should be prepared to pay otherwise how are you going to afford to keep it and look at the years of pleasure and companionship they give. That said Kera only cost us £30!! So glad I went and got her.. she is just the best £30 I've ever spent!!

When I got my two, a woman at the top of the street had kittens for £5. my sis got the idea to get one for her daughter, her daughter has had some really bad news in the past 6 months, her dad has terminal cancer and she has experienced the death of 2 pet dogs. My sister thought it a good idea to get a kitten for her to love, she is 8 yrs old.

Well my sister couldnt make up her mind, until yesterday when she decided to get one for her daughters birthday, Wednesday!!

I know some people wouldnt agree to get kittens for birthdays/christmas etc but we are all a family of animal lovers and the kitten would be looked after and loved as it should be.

My sister finally found a moggy for her daughter, only she has to pick it up on fri, which i suppose isnt too bad.
