How do you manage holidays?

Blimey Ginny it must be cheaper in Cumbria. The cattery charges special holiday rates and charge per animal. Pet sitting is about £10 a day for one visit for an hour, feeding, watering and cleaning out the litter box. An hour doesn't seem very long but at least they would be at home and it's half the price of a cattery.

Hi Ren,

Bert and Ernie are as mad as ever but get more and more loveable every day - their little habits and routines make me laugh all the time :-)

Must post some new pics of them, just haven't seemed to have time for anything normal recently..

im quite lucky - my dads a vet an my little sister works in the surgery from time to time and is great with animals - and having just finished uni and not yet got a full time job

well you can see where im going!!! Im off for 2weeks in september and im shipping her into my house while im away so diego and mia will have full time attention! :uckily sis still lives at home so welcomes the change! and brings the kittys lots of freebies from the surgery so i know they are gonn be in great hands - still gonna miss them loads tho - and worry - but have told her to email me every few days so i can check up (how sad am i!)

I must add too, which I did forget, we had a static caravan a few years ago, i used to go for a couple of weeks at a time. I used to only have one cat and she came with us, yes at first i was a little scared to let her out as the site was on woodland and was worried incase she went off wondering. she didnt but she loved her walks in the woods, there were also feral cats too, but not too scary, they would come for a tickle. So if you have a caravan to retreat to....take the cat along
