Thankfully, I can't find a valerian filled toy on Chewy.com! LOL Raiden isn't even into catnip.

I received 2 SammyMerlin valerian kickers yesterday.

I can say that they are definitely Bengal Certified.

:-)

Miko's been ignoring the two kong kickeroo's I got him. Bought him one from Sammy Merlin as well, we will see if he likes it :)

How are yours holding up, Cranberry? They still using it? I tried getting the ones Brian ordered but they don't ship to Canada.

The outdoor cat I take are of has been following us on our walks and comes in the house right behind us. Usually, it's the front door. Today it was the back door. There is a basket of Raiden's toys under the end table that Raiden ignores completely. Long Legs went and picked out a toy and started playing with it, kicking it (even though it's not a large toy). He had the best time with it. All of Raiden's play has to be instinct because he just isn't into playing with toys in the conventional way. His previous owner probably never gave him much time or attention. I was happy to know catnip toys do interest my other kitty--well, he's not my kitty. I take care of him for his owner who lives 3 blocks away. Long Legs ran away from home because his bother would not let him come onto the property to eat. Now he lives the good life with me with heated beds and a heated cat house and lots of love (which means I have to go outside to him as he is not supposed to be inside our house). Raiden sprays, Long Legs sprays -- it would not be a good match.

Have the two ever gotten into a spraying competition inside the house or do they keep that to outside?

Long Legs has never sprayed in the house. And there is no competition outside either.

You mentioned previously: "Now he lives the good life with me with heated beds and a heated cat house and lots of love (which means I have to go outside to him as he is not supposed to be inside our house). Raiden sprays, Long Legs sprays -- it would not be a good match."

What makes you think that letting Long Legs into the house would be a bad thing as it has not caused any problems yet even though the two cats spray they haven't done it in response to each other.

Long Legs has been allowed to come into our house for months now. I didn't want him out in the summer heat and was unable to find air conditioning for the cat house. He will love the warmth of our house in the winter time, although he will still have his heated beds and the heated cat house outside. Long Legs was always an all-outdoor cat with a garage for shelter. He lived with 9 other cats outside and they started chasing him away and wouldn't let him eat. He found my house. Even though the owners returned him home time after time, he would still come to my house, so I told them I'd take care of him. The owners come and visit him often, although they have moved into the next county. I take Legs to the vet when needed. He is spoiled to death here at our house and, although he and Raiden have their "moments," they generally get along.

Glad it worked out! I guess at the time you posted you didn't think them both being in the house was a good thing since they both spray?

Raiden did spray the living room window the other morning! But Legs has not yet sprayed in the house. He eats and finds his spot in the corner and goes to sleep for hours. Raiden got rid of his pee on our walk today as he sprayed everything along the route! He still uses his litter boxes.
