Bit pricey, though - Would be worth making your own...

Looks very interesting and could probably save many curtains! Was fun watching the cats climb up on it. I don't have wall or ceiling space for something like this. Raiden will just have to settle for his cat trees.

Hmm, interesting, thanks for sharing. The videos are very cute. I'm not sure this would be right for my cats, as my sense is that they prefer to climb things that are more stable (for example, they love climbing poles and cat trees, but lost interest in climbing curtains after the age of 1 or so). When they were kittens they would have loved it though.

I'm glad people are making nutty stuff like this though and trying various things.

BTW, one discovery that I made recently is that etsy is actually a pretty neat place for cat stuff. Check out all the hand-made cat beds for example! I recently ordered one of these beds, and should have it in a couple of weeks I believe.

My cats love wool stuff, so I have high hopes for this one.

Esty is great. I have ordered many handmade items from them. You have to watch the shipping costs though because many sellers are outside the U.S.

I agree about the cat swing. I bet Grace would not go on it because it moves. My last cat was the same way. Blondie might use it, but I am running out of space with all their habitat.

Those cat beds on Etsy are pricy, but look neat! I watched a video of a cat trying to get into a swinging hammock and it was so funny! Had to fall out a lot of times before it finally managed to gently get in it.

Ada* has one of the trapezes - she loves going in there in the evening for a couple of hours of snoozing. It also gets used as a place to jump up as a game sometimes. The bottom part, which ties on, is very handy as a store for all sorts of little cat toys - balls, springs, kickers, etc.

* It VERY definitely belongs to her and her alone.

In the good ole days, we had curtains for our windows. But for the past 30 years or so, we've only had blinds -- vertical or horizontal. Not easy for a cat to manipulate. Mainly because I keep them closed.
