Well everyone, I'm off on a holiday for the next week! I'm hoping the Bengals don't get up to too much mischief while I'm gone... :?

Happy birthdays in advance, Ren and Teresa! :D

Just out of interest, where do people in Australia usually go on holiday - do they go within Aus or do they go to another country like so many Brits do?

Ginny, it's harder/ more expensive for us to go overseas than it is for you (Europe on your doorstep - I'm so jealous!). We're going to Adelaide, a city in South Australia, to visit my grandmother. Definitely looking forward to travelling around Europe and the UK in another few years though!

I thought that might be the case. I visited Australia on holiday 7 years ago for a month and even though you think you're prepared for it, the vastness of the country is still a surprise. We drove from Melbourne to Adelaide to get the Great Ocean Road scenery. It's amazing how few people in the UK have seen much of their own country considering the distances aren't really that far but I can easily understand why many Australians never get to see a lot of what Australia offers. Have a great holiday!

Hello! Thanks for the early birthday wishes and have a great break :D

I've just got back from a rare trip to London - had a great time exploring Camden Market!

Best wishes

Teresa x

Hi Ren,

I was actually really surprised at how reasonable the prices were - I thought it would be very touristy and expensive but I got some bargains! Always wanted to go there when I was a student but never made it (think I'm having a mid-life crisis now!)

The fire didn't seem as extensive as I'd thought it would be and the market (both the main one and the Camden Lock one) were very busy and lively. There was a t-shirt stall there run by a one-man company called Meaningless Slogans - bought hubby a t-shirt that said on the front "Camden Lock Needs Jose" and on the back "...And hose B" (think about it.....groan).

T x
