The puppy is here!! He's been unbelievably courteous, if not a little afraid towards the cats. Bai is fascinated by him and although he doesn't want to touch him he seems very interested in just watching him. Orion not so much he has stayed upstairs and is very wary!

Yeeeeyyyyy!!! Glad to hear he has finally arrived :D it sounds like you're off to a good start as well! I'm sure Orion will come around soon enough once he gets used to puppy noise! Sounds like Bai is going to be keeping the puppy in line eventually! What is the little bundle of mischief called?

He is absolutely stunning! I've grown up around whippets and greyhounds and they both make the most amazing pets (except for Bengals of course ) It is good to hear the cats are tolerating him.

Awww what a sweety, that face is just the cutest! How is he doing so far?

Any name ideas yet? His face looks so much like my sister's dog Boris that all i can think of is that name or perhaps Rufus...he looks like a classic man name would suit him if you know what i mean...gah naming animals is so hard!

Thank you for the comments :) They are all getting on much better than anticipated. Orion took a while to not feel nervous around Sirius (the puppy) but now vocalises to him as he does to me, lets him rest his head on him and generally seems to like him. Bai however took to waiting until the puppy was asleep and whacking him with claws out, fortunately this has stopped now and Bai is a bit more reserved but tolerant of him. None of them are stressed and all sleep in the same room in their own beds which is great after such a short time.

Sirius really wants to play with the cats and can get quite nuts but they just leave or jump up somewhere high until he calms down.

My only real concern now is the cats eating the puppies food especially Orion and putting on increasing weight since he's arrived. Also Bai entices Sirius to give him his dinner and Sirius will always oblige as he seems to want to please him or thinks Bai's the pack master!

Oh, the new arrival is quite handsome!!!! And a puppy? That's a big puppy! LOL. Hopefully everyone will get along GREAT.
