The baby tonks have flown the nest

Well i cannot believe the kittens are now 15 weeks old. It has gone so quickly. They started leaving for their new homes last week. We are keeping 1, Pippa and another is not going to her new home until next weekend but with 5 less kittens the house is certainly much quieter

As lovely as they are and as sad as i am when they leave, it is SUCH hard work. We had 11 cats for a while, just imagine the litter trays :shock:

I was forever counting cats as i shut doors to rooms, even my wardrobe :evil:

This litter was hard because there were 6 the same colour with little to identify them until they were older when i learnt their face shapes. It is so nice to have a bit of a rest for a bit. But i do miss them and their antics

At least this time i have Pippa to remind me of them. She will be a little lonely when Yuma leaves though.

Claire:
It will feel so quiet, already does. Yuma is a bit of a character and leads Pippa astray :roll:

so it will seem very quiet after next weekend. That is when i feel this litter has completely gone. I still feel i have to do my best for Yuma so will relax a little more after... but i will still have the 5 of my own cats!

Greeneyes:
Toby is my neuter boy. He is actually Lily's brother. The dad was a Blue pointed Tonk. Tonks have 3 coat patterns. Pointed, Solid and Mink. Lily is a Solid so all kittens were Mink due to the genetics of the breed. Toby is a Mink also which shows how the coat should be, a blend of colours. I want to make sure they leave with a pack to remind them of home so they have lots of toys in that bag and a DVD of their pictures growing up. I just want the new owners to enjoy their babies and get as much enjoyment from them that they gave me...

They're all so gorgeous! I especially love your Pippa! My OH had Tonks growing up and he wants to get 1 next year, I wanted a snow bengal but after looking at your gorgeous pics I could very easily be tempted! :wink:

I love the kitten packs you do, it's just so obvious how much you love and how much effort you put into every single cat! It's lovely!

Greeneyes: I actually know what a Silver spotted Bengal crossed with a Chocolate Tonk looks like.... i know a breeder whose daughter thought the bengal queen was lonely and so popped her in with the Tonk stud..... i called them Bonkinese.....

There were two kittens, an all black and a silver mackeral tabby... i will PM you a pic as i'm not sure it's fair to pop the picture on here.....

Kat: I do think every house should have a Tonk :wink:

awwwwww your furbabies are so cute! you must've had a hard time letting them go, I know my heart hurt a little bit knowing I won't see their little faces running around in your youtube videos! :cry:

I have to stop looking because now I want a Tonk too and we can't afford to keep 3 cats, especially with trying to take them all out at the same time :roll:

I'm afraid they have all now flown the nest (except for Pippa who is staying here).... they have settled in their new homes and continuing their antics and spreading the love. I have lovely email updates from their new parents which is lovely. I have to stop myself replying with more questions so they have to email me again... lol

Pippa was very sad sunday evening and yesterday after Yuma left. She is ok now though, so maybe she realises they are not coming back to play. She plays with uncle Toby now!
