Sounds like you've gotten some great advice! Something I've noticed that works is if I can't get Max off the brain but need to for OHs sake, sometimes it helps to watch for something special Max only does for or in response to OH and point it out. Then i get to talk about Max but its also about something special only OH adds to the mix. Kind of like pointing out safari glue?

For example, if OH comes near Max's leather strip (favorite toy), Max sits by it.... Really tall... And gives OH the Puss in Boots look. If I pick up the leather to play, Max won't. He wants to play with OH, and OH to see him sitting like a big boy. I pointed this out to OH and it was so cute to watch. Max was delighted to get the attention and OH loved that his boy wanted guy time (& snubbed me!). Litle bonding moments like that have been my favorite.

Kitty kamping has also been great. If your BF likes camping.... Give it a try. kitty Kamping gives OH his own experiences with Max to get excited about and share with me.

yes iam trying.......i always want to take safari places....for instance the BF & me were talking about a cruise for a vacay then HE suggested Tennesse which has mountains and great out door fun so i booked a cabin for us and Safari is coming....so hopefully they will have fun outside together. and i always go walk safari in open fields by my house were no one is around and the BF isnt into it at all.... he always says its a INSIDE cat so keep it INSIDE...he doesnt understand or maybe hes just trying to act like he is agaisnt it....

Does he know Safari is coming?

yea he does....so now he is saying the only reason i want to go TN is so i can bring the cat which is not true but some what true.....it will be fun for everone....


in my head im more excited to bring safari than iam to take a damn vacation this year...as crazy as that sounds but i wouldnt dare tell the BF that

I think you need to decide if it's more important to you to spend time with your boyfriend or your cat.

i think my cat gets around 90% its not like i ignore the BF but if hes just sittin there watching TV i will watch it with him but on commericals i play with safari....and the BF gets around 90% also.....


and i know the BF loves safari because at night he always plays with him and if safari goes to bed early my BF says wheres that baby!!?!?!? (cause i always say that) but anyway he loves him to its just in his own way....and he thinks all the "extra" i do is just unnessary....

WHAT I meant to say is they get about even attention.....
