I thought it would be fun to start a little thread about what people like to do in the spare time apart from being with their ...furry 'ahem' items  .

I love to cook & entertain when I get the opprtunity to do so. I also love to shop, When i can I go to the gym, I also like walking. When the weathers bad, I like to sit on my laptop & research the British big cat mysteries, It's such a interesting subject.

One day i may take flying lessons & get my pilot license....that of course will be after I get a pair of baby bengals to breed...

Cheers Jim & the whiskery one !

'SPARE TIME'??

With fuzz-bot breeding, the mini fur balls take up all of my spare time! Not really much time for interests once you venture into the wonderful world of cat breeding, especially when there are babies around  :D

I like to relax and watch the odd horror/action movie, and I do like cooking too. I used to love travelling, but those days are long gone! I also love my 'pooter' now and spend spare time on here of course

I would love to live abroad - maybe France one day - and breed exotic animals :D

most of my time is taken up with the cats too, but that's how i like it!

i used to go to a lot of gigs & festivals, get together with friends & drink copious amounts of alcohol & dance the night away, but i really prefer a quieter life now. everyone else has settled down & had families...i've settled down with my fur family lol

good tv, the pc & some cats to cuddle, keeps me happy :D

I have had three surgeries since August ( I hope no more) so I have had lots of time to start working on my website and read all about catteries and Bengals- this site is great by the way! :D Unfortunately I will have to go back to work late December.

I volunteer at Prairie Wind Animal Refuge here in Colorado. I love the bears, tigers and all of the exotic animals there. There is nothing like petting a bear and feeding him out of your hand. They are real sweethearts! Love to read- mainly mysteries and true crime. Love to ride motorcycles- can't wait until my doctor releases me so I can ride again! I also have two dogs, a parrot, 3 big fish tanks and of course the 3 cats (hopefully more kitties soon) to take care of daily. Oh.....and a husband to take care of too  !

Take care,
Carol

In my "spare" time when I am not working or sleeping, I have a car that I race, a 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V that I have extensively modified. It's a very big part of my life, and my boyfriend and I run the largest forum in the world for this type of car, myspecv.com

Cars are a family activity, as Sammie has been dubbed "Mechanic Kittah" and helps out

Sammy looks like quite the little mechanic! :D She is adorable!

We have a car that we race too. We drag race our 1972 GTO. It has a 455 HO. Jupiter has yet to be introduced to it  .

In my spare time spent at home, I usually read (I love reading), go on the internet on cat and chipmunk forum, spend some time with my chipmunks too ;) (in winter it's harder as they're already sleeping when I come back from work :(), and watch TV (I love series like the Experts, NCIS, Desperate housewives ...).

With my OH we also go outside for walks and hiking, photography nature etc ;).

And in winter, go skiing  (not here but at our parents' who live in the mountains...).

I like shopping but alone it's not very fun and my OH doesn't like shopping  so I don't go a lot (I don't have friends here, I don't bond very easily and I live here since less than a year...).

I have a season ticket at Manchester United which means every other weekend is taken up with travelling down to Manchester (just over 2 hours each way). I also sing in an amateur choir which rehearses every Monday evening and performs major choral works 2 or 3 times a year (Bach Christmas Oratorio next weekend). In between that, I work full time and am treasurer for my local church and the community centre.

Still find plenty of time to spend with the kitties though.

CGOODALL!
That Is one hot ride!!
I spent most of my spare time on the net. None of my 5 kitties are cuddlers. All though most people that go on walks through the forest with the family usually take the family dog, we take 2 of our cats

I spend some of my spare time doing something with my family doing... whatever is up at the time. I spend some of my time with my equine; just being with them or riding around the property.

Thanks! We don't drive it a whole lot- can't you just see it drinking the gas as it just sits there??   We usually just drive it on short weekend outings, car shows and races.

Take care,
Carol

Well when I'm not spending time with Moshi and Indiana or the OH I like watching Movies, Reading and TV Series like CSI, Bones, Desperate Housewives, Ghost Whisperer, Charmed, Ugly Betty, Dexter and Family Guy.

I love web design and have created and run a Bad Taste Bear Fan Site www.thebearsnuts.com if you want to know more about Bad Taste Bears take a look LOL. My OH and I met through collecting them.

I also love shopping when I have the money and sometimes I watch the Ospreys play at the Liberty Stadium when I go to Wales to visit family. I also like going to Concerts time and money allowing, we are going to see Marilyn Manson on Sunday, Kylie in July 2008 and Foo Fighters in June 2008. So you can gather from that I love music too.

Last but not least I love cooking too.

Do you go to Bandimere? I've seen pics of the renovations that they are doing right now. Kinda weird to see it all dirt!

Sammie was quite confused about being in the engine bay of a car. She doesn't like to get dirty, and she kept checking her paws for dirt I swear! She kept trying to climb up the windshield, but couldn't grip so it looked like she was on a treadmail. Pretty entertaining times in our garage!

Oh, and here's a pic of just my car, sans kitty. As far as we know, this is the fastest female owned and driven nissan sentra se-r spec v in the world :)

Sweet car!

Yes, we go to Bandimere. We didn't do any racing last year. The track should be nice when the finish it. The whole place was in need of an update.

Where do you race your car? That's so cool that it is the fasted female owned and driven in the world :D . I bet you are proud! Great job! It's nice to see girls out kickin' butt!!

Take care,
Carol

I am living in NJ right now and I only live 6 miles from Englishtown Raceway Park so that's where I go. I only went to Bandimere once a few years ago for a car show. I am still active on coloradoracing.net, though, so I keep update to date with all the news :)

Once I turn up the boost I'll actually be one of the fastest ones in the world! :) I am gunning for the stock internals record, and if I can hook at the track next summer and drive well, it shouldn't be that hard. I killed my clutch this fall so I wasn't running all that good, but this summer hopefully will go quite well!
