Firstly - love the changes to the website!

So what a month its been. 4 weeks ago on Monday evening I got a call from my boyfriend at 11.15, he had been working late, nothing to un-ordinary until he phones me to tell me that he's had a car accident, thinks its written the car off and can I come and get him.
Turns out the car had hit a very greasy bit of the road, he'd tried to control it but had ultimately run out of tarmac and the car had hit the grass verge sidewards and flipped up and rolled. He luckily was fine and got out of the car and called the police.

Four days later, I collapsed at work, I dont remember much apart from the ambulance crew turning up. After many blood test (literally like living with vampires) and CT scans I was diagnosed with a Pulmonary Embolism (blood clot from my leg had gone into my heart and pumped out covered both my lungs with clots).
1 weeks stay in hospital and I'm out but not out of the woods yet.

I missed my precious boys 1st birthday so in honour of them, here's some piccies of them.
During the last 3 weeks of recovery at home they have been great, lovely cuddles throughout the day and have kept me out of boredom with their antics. Managed to get them a new cat tree which has been endless hours of fun too.

What a horrible time you have had, hopefully only good things in store for the rest of the year. The photographs are lovely. Gorgeous bundles of fur. Our two will be a year next month. Never a dull moment with them as you know.

Awww I'm so sorry to hear about your ordeal! Glad to hear your boyfriend came out unscathed and I hope the doctors were able to find a way to help you with the embolism? Happy belated birthday to Evo and Nismo! Hope they got lots of cuddles and great food to make up for it!

So sorry to read all that, how hellish for you all Hope that you are on the road to recovery now though, and that you can soon put it all behind you. Lovely photos x

Have they put you on the rat poison yet? (warfarin). My OH had PE's about four years ago over Christmas and was in hospital for about three weeks until they managed to get his INR at a steady level. They are still trying now.

When we got the discharge letter, the dr stated that OH had multiple large clots on both lungs. Great.

So, I understand just how scary this can be and also how much it can have the possibilility to change lives. At least they managed to clot bust you as obviously these things can be very dangerous and in some cases, even fatal.

Wishing you a great recovery, at least you have your oys to keep you company while recovering at home and also it gives you a reason to get up. Each day while you are home as that is what my OH found.even though he says that he is not really as big a cat lover as me, he found that at least he had the cats to keep him company once I went back to work while he was still off.
