Not Bengals - here's my other cats

I took a very big step this year and started breeding Tonkinese. My first litter was a very emotional and fantastic experience. They are all very happily destrying their new homes :roll:

here they are at 12 weeks old with Uncle Toby and Great Auntie Evie (Mommy cat didn't want to play!)

I have around 1000 pictures of them from birth until the last went at 15 weeks old but won't bore you with them!!!!

That's an amazing photo. How on earth did you get them to sit still for long enough?!

Wow, Tonks! Good for you. That's another breed that seems to be hard to find around these parts, and those are some great looking cats. I too am marvelling at that picture because they all look so posed. I would have a nearly impossible time getting even my 3 cats in the same picture, looking at the camera etc.

I would love to see some (more) Tonk kitten pictures and hear about their behaviors.

Tonkinese are very intelligent, very energetic, very athletic cats. They can easily be trained to play fetch and do tricks. They are lap cats and thrive on human attention/company.

They can be quite vocal. Mine follow me everywhere which is lovely untill you have 8 tonkinese watching you bathe :roll:

They come in 3 different coat patterns (tonk, solid and pointed) and a variety of colours plus tabby and tortie.

Stunning cats, in my opinion.

Having bred Bengals and Tonks I would say they are very similar in personality. Vocal, active, playful, intelligent. Tonks, however, are very much lapcats and love to be with their humans on the sofa, in the bed, etc. I always say to people if you scoop up a Bengal it will only stay in your arms if it wants to; if you scoop up a Tonk it will immediately start purring and cuddle in. I have homed Bengal and Tonk kittens together and they get on like a house on fire.

Here we have one of my Tonk boys with his best Bengal buddy, one of Karen's :lol:

As you can see, they love each other very much.

They look so tall and elegant for 12 weeks in the first picture, amazing!

I also love the kitten pictures of them, they are adorable, the one where they are eating is cute too.

Ive never heard of the breed, but they sound and look beautiful.
