Chuckled my way throught that last night. The chapter on 'Stabby Man' is a hoot.

Cleo: How a small black cat rescued a family.

Cried my way through that over the weekend.

I've just bought a Kindle and both of these were dirt cheap - around 70p. So highly recommended.

Thanks to you Miki129 - I spent a lot more money on books than I intended to! I was off to a wedding this weekend so decided to buy something to read for the journey and saw your suggestions. Having purchased 'under the paw', I was induced to buy 'A cat called Birmingham'. Damn that Amazon marketing ploy!

I haven't read the former yet, but the latter is hysterical. Written by a catman (Chris Pascoe), he found himself the owner of a very clumsy cat (SPOILER: against, all odds the cat is still very much alive). He recounts the lives of his cat and all his calamities, both cat and man! It is utterly laugh out loud stuff, much to my husbands' annoyance since he was trying to engage me in conversation, as I slowly sank into the footwell in hysterics!

Of course, purchasing that, meant purchasing his follow up book as well. I've only managed to read the first chapter when we pulled up outside our home - to find our cat sitter, had put down all of Tess' cat treats in her bowl!

That'll teach me to forget to show him where I store the cat biscuits!

Anyway it's good to see Tess again - albeit very much rounder than when I left her two days ago!
