Hi Everyone

I got three 14 week old female Bengal kittens last Thursday. It wasn't really planned. I lost my much loved moggie of 19 years the previous week and couldn't cope with the emptiness in the house so googled for kittens in my area. Two Bengals who'd had a bad homing experience came up. I went to see them, fell in love and took their sister too! I'm on a very rapid learning curve but so far all is going well. They're boisterous but beautiful and very affectionate and have settled in really well.

Here are a couple of piccies (sorry if they're a bit big, haven't worked out how to shrink them yet!!)

WOW three of them! You're in for a wild ride, girl! This forum should be a great help, there are lots of really knowledgable people here. My kittens (boys, Cairo and Jakarta) are only two weeks older than yours, so I can't offer a whole lot of advice, but watch out, they'll grow noticably overnight over the next few weeks. They are crazy, but lots of fun.

They will also try to get into your kitchen cupboards every time you open them to get something out. It will take you five minutes to extract the first kitten, three to get the second kitten, three to get the third, and another two minutes to get the first one out again !

What are your kittens' names? What happened with their first home?

Have you just been in my kitchen? That's what I've just been doing, albeit with only two kittens. I tend to get both meals ready at once (though the yowling can get pretty loud), then put their dinner on the floor, and try to eat mine before they finish!

That sounds like a good strategy - I'll try it tonight, although they eat so quickly that I suspect they'll finish theirs and be at my elbow before I've had more than a couple of mouthfuls of mine.

Thanks folks - both for the welcome and the advice. I succeeded in having an uninterrupted meal this evening, although I think it had something to do with the fact that I'd had all three kittens at the vet to get them checked over redy for sorting out insurance so they were a bit distracted when we returned. It didn't stop Lily climbing into the fridge though - I'll have to watch that!

Yea 3 at one time. I will pray for you, lol. Yea watch out for the fridge, dishwasher, and everything else.. Olly opens doors.. Nothing is safe now at my house.... Oh and he learned how to turn the lights off and on today. Good luck with your 3 little ones. They sure are cute.

So, have they destroyed the tissue box in that photo yet?

Funnily enough they haven't touched the tissue box - any other kitten I've ever had would have shredded it within minutes. To be honest, I think it's just not responsive enough for them - they prefer things that produce noise, lots of movement and chaos. The favourite at the moment is the twizzle thing that controls the venetian blinds - get it right and you can bang it against the window for hours of fun!!

They all slept on my bed for the first time last night. They got loads of sleep - needless to say I didn't!
