Hi, I finally managed to get a username here, I've tried before, but I never recieved the activation E-mail.

All the help guides told me to contact the administrator, but when I tried to send a private message it told me I can't send a private message without being logged in!

Just thought you should know, I may not be the only person with this problem.

Hi there, sorry you had such trouble! Confirmation emails getting lost seems to be a common problem with a lot of forums or rather with overzealous spam control on the receiving mail account. Often the emails end up in the spam box.

If you're using outlook or any other mail program always be sure to check the spam folder, also check the ISP mail server...they can get flagged before they even reach your mail program.

Thanks for your response, but I was actually using Yahoo Mail on my first attempt and I also regually check the Spam inbox for stuff that accidently gets put in there.

Maybe Yahoo just blocked it entirely for some reason.

Sometimes this does happen and I'm not sure why.

The contact administrator button doesn't work because I got an insane amount of spam when it was working - I used to spend all my time emptying the mailbox, so I ended up just disabling it...

Yahoo Mail bounces A LOT of emails from forums. I run a car forum, and Yahoo bounces (aka refuses) any email from our site to users with Yahoo accounts...

Pretty much sucks :( Which is funny, because anybody with a Yahoo account can agree that they get sooooooooooooooooo much spam! Last year I switched to gmail because I couldn't stand the 100 spam messages in my yahoo inbox anymore.

Well, I guess it only serves them right then that a lot of email providers are in turn bouncing yahoogroups messages. I remember having that issues with three (3!) different email providers and finally just gave up and settled on reading the posts online.
