Why are all the pictures I upload so tiny I try to resize them but they are always small no matter what size I choose!

If you look under the text box (you use to write your post), you will see File Attachment. Click on Choose File to add a photo straight from your computer, and then click Add File.

It's the simplest way to upload photos on to the forum and they will be automatically resized for you.

Advice given above will work for photographs within the body of a post, but not for signature/profile images.

I'm guessing you're trying to load the pictures as your signature, these will always resize much smaller due to the default size restrictions.

If you're using Image Shack, when you upload them, you need to select the option for "email / forums" - Then it will automatically resize them.

I can't work out how to get rid of the size over-write though, on the signature pictures (loaded as an Avatar?)

Im also unable to add an avatar.

Ive tried for ages to crop and edit pics with software I have on my home PC but I cant get any image small enough. (in filesize not pixel size)
I know why there needs to be a limit for space saving... but could it not be bumped up (filesize) just a little bit?
Alot of space could be saved with a pruning of long left old accounts.

I have been unable to add an avatar or signature image. I have re-sized in photoshop to meet your criteria and still I am unable to upload.

What to do?
