cat harness/hot day

What a gorges day!!! it has been that hot today we decided to go and get Star and Bubbles a harness and sit outside THEY LOVED IT!!!! i mean they really loved it thought you might like to see some photos :lol:

Don't they just look stunning against outside scenery - imagine if you let them out free and if you didn't know what a Bengal was and one showed up in your backgarden :shock:

Do you find that they meow constantly to go back outside once they're inside again? We tried the harnesses once, but they just cried and cried when we got them back inside, we didn't think it was fair..... was like teasing them....

To say they were a little excitable when they got back in would be an understatement!!! but they soon child down after five minuets, We have taken them out with us quite a bit in the car and walking around the garden just trying to get them used to the outside world in preparation for the shows and it has really worked Star really loved the show and Bubbles just took it in her stride.

Hi Paddy,

Love the photos. We tried our cats on harnesses several years ago. Our first stud boy loved it. Our first female Bengal hated it and would either roll over or walk backwards to try and get herself out of the harness...SO FUNNY !!

But once they had the taste for going for walkies I was in demand. They were like dogs waiting for their walkies :lol:

Indy can escape from his harness really easily.

I'd love to take him walkies but it's not worth the risk that he wont run under a car as we live on a road that is frequently used.

I have looked at getting a harness more like a coat style but not sure if its worth teh expense as I think he will hate it.

Hi Katie,

if Indy's happy indoors then I wouldn't bother buying another harness if he was wriggling out of the other one.

It's great if your wanting to get him used to noises and unusual surroundings to make them extra confident but if he's happy enough then I wouldn't bother.
I have seen the coat harnesses, they look really cool don't they. They look like they are ready for a photo shoot ...Or should I say " Getting ready to go on the Cat walk " :lol:
