Just a little update- mum and babies doing fine.....kittens looking more and more beautiful each day, we are still evaluating them both but one has already been eagerly reserved by a breeder in Aberdeenshire and we're waiting to see how the other girl develops before we contact anyone from our waiting list. we do have a few people on the list now waiting for that special kitten.....just for showing rather than breeding!
They're just getting weaned at the moment onto solids and both have now figured out what the litter tray is all about.
We tend to give all our kittens pet names just for our use matching their characters aswell as the pedigree names set out for them.....so we have "Peaches" and "Rosie".
and yes its always hard to say goodbye to them....they're all so different in the own little special way, and after you've watched over mum for 2 months then put all your time, effort and love into them once their born for a futher three months I guess it'll always be hard.
We teach them how to fetch and also to come to you at a click of the finger (for safety reasons rather than gimmicks).....the bengal breed is so inteligent the possiblities are endless for training your bengal, maybe this makes it harder to say goodbye....its all worth while though when you open your email and see that the new owners have sent you pics and an update reporting various household objects or appliances have been destroyed.....We do warn them beforehand but they never believe us about how naughty and mischievious they can be if they don't get their own way!
They seem to forget that we know their kitten far, far better than what they do and we also know exactly what they are capable of doing because they've no doubt already tried out their best on us.
Hopefully I'll post a few more pics when we do the weekly update to the site.
And LaVon & Nikki, I'll go right now and steal you both a kiss each.....fresh from their sleepy little velvet heads.....and one from Evvie too!
p.s we're so sad that in our kitten contract its clearly states in bold letters that new owners
must kiss their new kittens head every night before bed without fail.....soppy or what?
