My melanistic bengal cat Jet is a nut. He was a crazy kitten but at 5 years old is calming down a bit. He still does what bengals do. My question is if you knew what your bengal would've been like before you got him would you have still gotten him? I suspect yes but just checking.

Well, had I known what I was getting into when I took my Raiden when he was 6 years old, I doubt I would have taken him. Having had cats for 55 years, nothing prepared me for owning a bengal. While I absolutely love Raiden, he is a handful most of the time. He is 9 years old and still as active as a kitten. I take care of an outdoor cat who is so laid back and doesn't demand anything but food and a chance to sit on my lap. If I were maybe 20 years younger, it would be different. I'm in my golden years and I simply do not have the energy and stamina to keep up with him -- even on our daily walks.
