I'm not asleep just resting my eyes....

Have to laugh, I had to take Lennon to the vets yesterday. The vet took one look at Lennon and said, "I hear he's a big scary bengal tiger", I replied, "No he's just a gentle big giant pussycat. The Vet took a look at the computer records and said, "that's not what it says here" LOL

x

I think the vet was being serious.

Len's been scratching his ears and shaking his head a lot over the past few days, so I thought we need to get this checked out.

However, the vet couldn't examine Len because as soon as he touched him, Len gave out a loud hiss and growl and the vet backed right off. (Trouble is Len's very intelligent and remembered the vet from the last visit and he wasn't having any of it) I think the vets never seen such a big cat - Len weighs 8.3 kg but is solid muscle and little fat.

The vet thinks Len may have ear mites and so I've treated him at home (and Ringo and Tabtitha) with Strong Hold but if his ears aren't any better by Tuesday then the vet said I will need to bring him back and they will anesthetise him to examine his ears properly.

Len's an indoor cat but has a large playroom/enclosure that he goes out in every day, so I suppose there is a chance that he could have caught ear mites, although I keep their enclosure spotlessly clean.

He's not scratched as much today so hopefully he's feeling better. x

Hope it clears up soon!

Lennon is so regal looking- and funny what the vet said. I guess he's not a bengal fan

Here is my sleeping tiger. I have not taken Grace to the vet in a while, but I suspect she is over 16 pounds. Her body is so long. I totally avoid picking her up. My vet seems a bit afraid of her, but honestly she is the sweetest cat. Every night and morning she hops on the bed and throws herself against me so I can pet her. She purrs and rips holes in the sheets, lol. All my sheets have rips and holes in them from her! Her back is solid muscle and she can run really fast. She has outgrown a lot of cat trees, but she still flies up to the top of her kitty gym and sleeps up there looking down on me. It rocks and sways when she does flips and dangles off the landings when playing. It's in a corner and I have barbells holding it in place.

Oh Grace is stunning. Lennon is a gentle giant, he always wants to be with you and is so affectionate and intelligent. He does have his naughty moments though especially when he opens the cupboards and pulls things out! Lol
