Aww, tabby's pose is so cute with the face buried in the paws! I'm pretty sure I see glitter as well! It's so hard to tell from a pic, obviously you see it better in person. But I'm pretty sure my last tabby girl (tiger just like yours) had glitter too, so I'm sure it's possible! She definitely had ticking, which I think is essentially the same thing...but if I yanked a full hair or found sheddings from time to time, you could clearly see the demarcation from light tip to dark... then again what do I know, as I've never seen an official "glittered" coat, haha...

Ticking is the variegation of color in an individual hair.
Glitter is the reflection of light within a hollow hair shaft.
My bengal has both ticking, reminiscent of an ALC, and glitter, introduced as the bengal breed was developed.
The glitter is visible in Zoomber's picture. The tabby picture shows a beautiful, shiny coat but I do not see glitter.

Some people confuse glitter with ticking, which appears more in tabbies. I guess if there's any Egyptian Mau in your tabby's background, it could be glitter. Just so hard to tell in a picture.

There is a difference between ticking and glitter.

Here's glitter:

I used to have a silver tabby/Abbysinian mix, and her fur definitely glittered. Also, the sun can lighten fur just like it lightens our hair, and they can pick up highlights that way.
