New cat cratcher

They love the triangular one they have had since arrival, so I got the long version they can lay on. They both want to be lounging on the top but only one fits. Usually Blondie gets bumped off. I guess another one would give them enough width to lay together...

I've seen these. Glad Blondie and Gracie enjoy theirs. Great pictures, Jill. I don't think Raiden would hop on top of it. He has several scratchers around the living room and uses them all. The one he uses the most costs $14.95 at Walmart and lasts for several months. When one side is worn down, flip it over to the other side.

Oh my goodness, they are like pieces of trendy furniture doubling as scratch pads! They look very comfortable. Gracie and Blondie just have to be the luckiest cats on this forum! :lol:

Are these scratchers the ones that Jackson Galaxy touts? I may look into them. Are the scratching surfaces smooth? To me it would be like laying on sandpaper.

It is about 33" long and 10" high. It is made up of smooth cardboard that they can sink their nails into. One of them is usually on it and the other is waiting her turn. I got the triangular one when they were babies and they still love it. They are great scratchers and they run in and out playing around them. They can flip over to have a fresh side, but they hold up really well. They like rolling on them because it massages their backs. I clicked the link from Jackson Galexcy's FB ad and it took me to Amazon for the order. A certain amount goes towards helping rescue cats. Aside from the towers and clouds, these are their favorite toys.

Thanks, Jill. I am going to check them out. I've seen them on Jackson's FB feed so wondered if they were the same ones. I could go broke buying up his stuff!!! And not sure Raiden would be the better for it! He's just super particular, but he does love new things. He hasn't walked on his cat wheel in weeks. He will get up on it and stand but no walking. I need to retrain him, I guess.

I think the novelty has worn off. Raiden used to use it while waiting for me to get ready to get him out the door for his walk. I've placed him on the wheel and he sits sideways on it and cries! Not that he needs the exercise. He's fit and trim. I wish there were a way for me to use it and then maybe it would get some rotations. Or maybe I need to get a very large hamster. LOL
