My baby boy is growing up way too fast. He is the center of attention in our home and has really taught us about what it's like to own a bengal lol. He is absolutely CRAZY and we love every second of it. BB and Jasper are both very laid back cats and while they had some bengal traits they were never as crazy as Mochi. He likes to ride around on my shoulders and when I get home he runs to the door and jumps into my arms. He and my two little boys are nothing but trouble and drag out more stuff than an army of kids. Mochi is more fascinated by their toys than his own and has a toy dinosaur he drags around with him. BB is still his Mama cat and holds him down for his daily cleanings and cries for him when she doesn't know where he is. She has even started acting a little wild too. I found both of them at the tops of our blinds hunting a moth this morning. Needless to say we love our boy and we are so happy we found him. Here are a few pictures of my monkey.

These 2 keep me on my toes. They are both always in to something and when they are done they cuddle up on the couch together for a short nap

Yes Sherry, I'm glad I didn't give up! Mochi is perfect for our family and I couldn't ask for a better kitten. He is into everything and very destructive but he is such a love bug it makes up for it. We had a set back 2 weeks ago with BB and Mochi. He was neutered and when he returned from the vet she hated him for a good 5 days after. They are now back to normal and she loves him all over again.

You know that BB's change was due to the smell of Mochi when he returned from the vet. There seems to be that medicinal smell from there and cats' smell is 14 times more sensitive than ours. Glad to know he's been neutered. Maybe he'll settle down a little. Ha ha! I look forward to your posts and updates. It's amazing how well everyone can get along when there is no stress involved! Sorry Sherry I'm just now seeing this. Yes I knew it was from his different smell but I didn't think it would take her so long to get over it. She was a little overly dramatic, even more so than when she first met him. And YES he has calmed down a little! He is still crazy and into everything but before he was neutered he was mating with a blanket! Now he just knead and cuddles it, no sexual harassment anymore lol. The only concern I have now is his weight. Since he was neutered he wants to eat non stop. I'm keeping a close eye on his condition so hopefully it doesn't get out of hand. As wild as he is I'm sure he burns it right off.

I really thought most breeders want the kitten spayed or neutered before ever handing the kitty over to you. Raiden was neutered at 11 weeks. It's made no difference in his marking habits outside. As active as Mochi is, I'm sure he requires a lot of nutrients for energy!

Early spay/neuter is preferred by some breeders but not all breeders. People usually have a strong opinion on it and it's usually one way or the other and no in between. Our breeder is a vet tech and chooses not to ESN. Just a personal choice on her part, but we're did have to sign a contract and his papers were with held until we had him neutered 2hich is standard. I think his eating should level out and I don't plan to do anything about it until he reaches a year old. After that he won't be free fed anymore.

I'm just happy I didn't have to deal with it with Raiden. I did with a few other cats (both spay and neuter) and always had pain medication to give them for a few days -- and the females had stitches that had to be removed (this was decades ago).
