That's wonderful - I love seeing pictures of cats so relaxed with their surroundings that they show off their tummies.

Oscar is a rescue cat - where did you end up getting him from ? I talked to the Blue Cross before getting Ada and Babbage and they were incredibly picky about what sort of home set up they would require for a Bengal.

Oscar came from Newbury cats protection league. They were very strict about the home he could go to and that was why Oscar had been there for over three months. Lots of people wanted him but did not have the right work/home setup. They wanted him to have someone who worked from home, no other cats and also a large garden to avoid territory problems. We luckily filled all the criteria. I always wanted a bengal or a burmese but had resigned myself to never owning one as I would always take rescue moggies. Never did I think to find a Bengal in a rescue centre! I hope Babbage has got over his frozen pizza eating habit!!!! :lol:

Oscar is totally relaxed. Cats don't just expose their bellies to anyone! Raiden will come times sleep on his back with his legs stretched out. Oscar is super handsome!

Babbage is fine - we are currently watching "Give A Pet A Home" together. He cured his desire for frozen pizza on Sunday with his sister and partner in crime.

I'd cooked a gammon joint in coke. Can you guess how this story ends? I'd left it cooling in the kitchen before putting it in the fridge, being very careful to keep cats and ham apart. Later on I nipped into the kitchen for a drink, closed the door but didn't make sure it had clicked closed.

A while later, I'm thinking "its quiet in here" and then "I wonder where the monsters are?" "oh no, it really IS quiet in here".

They did, at least, have the decency to look guilty when I went into the kitchen and rescued what remained of the ham. :secret:

Yes it must be the same one as I put a post on here about him a while back. Just found it and his name was Oscar! I am so pleased you have him and he has landed truly on his feet. That's so great.

Yes, just looked at your post and that is my boy Oscar shouting himself hoarse!!!! Bless him. I adopted him on 23 Oct about ten days after your post. Cats protection were totally honest about the issues with a bengal. The lady who showed him to me said she had worked at the rescue centre for a number of years and Oscar was the first cat the staff had truly been frightened of. He did not respond well to being in a pen and they had to board out the mesh as he was going loopy seeing other cats. I have had cats for over twenty five years since I left home and thought I could handle anything. If not for this forum and the kindness and advice doled out with good humour then I would have been in trouble. Oscar was peeing and spraying. If you handled him when he did not want to be held then he would bite, not hard but painful none the less. Five months on and he is the most loving, gentle and funny cat I have ever had the privilage to parent!!! He is perfection with litter habits since Christmas. He is a major softie and has the loudest purr! I spent countless hours on this website learning on the job. The wisdom, experience and humour saved me from giving up and admitting defeat. Thank you all for helping me learn how to turn Oscar's life around make him a happy cat. Sorry if I sound cheesy but I cannot express enough how this forum literally saved my sanity. THANK YOU ALL :lol:
