Re declawing...i personally would say don't do it.
I would imagine it would be like us having a whole nail ripped off, right down to the flesh.
Trimming the claws is much kinder to your cat - if you can't do it yourself, your vet will be able to do it no probs.

Tuffy has really been snoring loudly lately, anyone else have a
Bengal that snores?

Also, he seems to 'dream' alot, often making little meowing sounds and twitching of his paws and whiskers. It is funny to observe, wondering what he dreams about?

Tuffy is gorgeous. Keep on enjoying him.

I am firmly against declawing cats. Besides being extreemly painful for the cat, the operation will change his personality. The more you watch your Bengal, the more you will see that their claws are a part of who they are. My boy will actually "hook" his claws over my fingers and pull me into him.

They do enjoy scratching, but my cats never claw at anything except for their designated scratch posts (and cardboard boxes). They have never intentionally clawed me - in fact they play very gently with exposed skin, which they seem to know is fragile (but put that same hand under a sheet and all bets are off)

I trim my cats nails as needed (usually when I hear my husband yells ouch) and they have both taken to it well enough and actually seem relieved after a trimming. Start off by handling the paws with massage like rubs when Tuffy is relaxing on you, and then when you are ready to clip his nails he will be used to the foot massages and won't protest too much. I am actually able to sneak up on my boy and trim his nails while he is sleeping, which isn't necessary, but seems to go faster.

I look forward to seeing more of the adventures of Tuffy.

Tuffy is really growing up fast, too fast. I wish we could give him a pill that would keep him about 3 months old or so!
He is just as lovable and continuely amazes us with his playful antics.

Clarke Companion is the breeder and Bengal Companions ( http://bengalcompanions.com ) is the name of his cattery.

Tuffy's parents were Paragon(dad) and Stickers(mom). I'll post a baby Tuffy and his litter mates tomorrow. They were so cute and now he's has grown so fast.....

If you talk to Clarke tell him Big Art, Susie and Tuffy said 'Hi!'
