Hi everyone - I've been "sewing" cage curtains, for when I take Dagger to shows -- and it's been quite a challenge. I've shared some of these photos with Bengals-L and my other groups... but in case you haven't seen them... I'm putting some here, before I leave to go to the show, this weekend

Here is my favorite of the whole batch -- Emma STUDYING my every move!


Naturally, when I was re-filling a bobbin -- both Emma and Dagger were HIGHLY involved


Dagger was MOST interested in the bobbin -- he had to get a closer look...


I'm beginning to realize they ARE like toddlers -- they have to TASTE, EVERYTHING - as Emma well proves...


And this one - my son calls "NO mommy - it needs to come over HERE"


And, since none of the other cats showed up for sewing class -- I had to go looking for WHERE they were ...

I SHOULD have KNOWN (grin)

Lightnin, Casper and Victoria were holding my BED down...


With some help from "Grandpa" Sasquatch - Yes, I know he looks SAD - but he's been sick for a LONG time... just discovered this summer he has HCM


Naturally Tiger was helping, too


And Hatter couldn't be left out !!!


Bailey was sleeping upstairs on my son's bed, and Moonlight wouldn't DARE come in off the screened-in porch to socialize with all the "indoor riff-raff" --- so they are the only two missing from this "scrapbook" of how my cats control not only my LIFE, but my BED, as well :blink:

If theres something interesting going on.....Any bengals in the house will simply just invite themselves along!

I really love that characteristic of the breed.....They're always involved in whatever you're doing!

And just like kids.....They've got absolutely NO FEAR

I just love pics 4+5, Could she get any closer to the action.... (watch out for those paws) :wacko: .......and poor old Sasquatch, God Bless him.....I'll bet he still stands his ground if someone else gets his favorite spot on the bed though!

Give him a slice of finest ham....nice and tender.....that'll cheer the old man up a little bit!


p.s Good luck with the show too and be sure to let us know how you and Dagger get on (your shows in the states are a little different to ours in the uk, We can't have anything on our cages....except for the exhibition cages, They can have some decoration)

We've got a show in about five hours time in Ellesmere Port (cheshire cat club)....It's only about one hours drive away, Just the other side of Liverpool so it's quite local for us.....anywho time for a few hours sleep.....zzzzZZZZZ

Well, just returned from the Jackson show. The "kitten" rings weren't too awfully crowded - and Dagger had two competitors in his color and division. One was a GORGEOUS cat from another "Alabama" person.... Christi Hastings - and her cat Darrius won in 7 of the 8 rings.

BUT -- Dagger DID win in one ring, and go on to final. He got 5th best Allbreed Kitten *YEAH*

Thanks for all of the encouragement -- as you know this is the FIRST "rosette" for me OR my cats... and I'm just so proud of that litte rascal.

And in the 3rd pic, he looks HUGE, or maybe the judge is just small?

He's not really "huge" as far as his weight, yet (only about 6 pounds, I think- I don't have a good scale to weigh him - and he IS growing a lot, right now) -- but he IS long and looks like he could become quite a big boy.

The judge is about 7 or 8 inches taller than me, so I don't consider her that "small". Even though she isn't NEARLY as WIDE as me and even as wide as my lap is -- when he stretches across it, both his head and hips hang off either side :rolleyes:

Dagger DOES still "sing" in EVERY ring -- I have NO idea how to stop him from doing it. He doesn't appear angry, or ever growl or hiss... just that ETERNAL song

I must admit, the judges have complete conversations with him, at times. Every time they walk by him, both before and after they get him out for his "turn" -- He insists that it IS - HIS turn. The judges will "respond" by telling him it's not his turn yet -- or that he has already HAD his turn. And STILL he has to have the last word.

And the visitors at the shows seem to get quite a chuckle from his "songs" --- some of the other owners aren't as happy - because if he is SINGING -- thier cats sometimes "act out" and HISS or Growl when the judge tries to take them from their judging cage.

Little MR HEY LOOK AT ME -- I'M OVER HERRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEE!

Which I also find very interesting, since he is NOT the most vocal of the cats, when he is at home!

And, Meemonkey -- the question I have for YOU is -- WHERE on my bed, do you think there is room to fit a few more, since there has to be a LITTLE room for ME to squeeze in, too?

Zeus is 9lbs so far and seems to be gaining about a lb a month B)

Absolutely loving those pics! We have a magazine over her in the UK called "Your Cat" and they have a "Rascal of the month" feature where readers send in pictures of there cheeky cats, anyway you really should send them some of those sewing machine pics...I'm sure you'd win! I entered the following pic of Tally for a laugh and guess what...she's won rascal of the month for January 2005!


Anyway, keep the pics coming, I absolutely love them.

I'm so glad I read this before I broke my sewing machine out today Milo did the same thing and had to be removed from the room. Then Emma decided to sleep on the fabric while I was sewing. I'm happy to see that my cats aren't the oly ones so fascinated by sewing machines.
