Our vet, over a month ago, thought she heard a murmur in Tarzan. I was really fretting about it. While he was asleep getting snipped they looked at his heart. He does not have a murmur and his heart looks very healthy. Don't ask me why but a whistle from a narrowed nasal passage echoes all the way to his chest. He can whistle all he wants as long as he doesn't have a heart problem. So with Boo being a persian and having that flat face wheeze and Tarzan's whistle and my husband's snoring. My night sounds like this Wheeee wooooooo snaaaaaaa wheeeee wooooo snaaaaaa. I just pray I get to sleep first!

Now I am just waiting for his registration papers so I can get his mom's pedigree figured out.

That's great news - often heart murmurs are insignificant and just caused by normal noises rather than a sign of damage.

I love your description of your nighttime chorus

My husband snores like the devil and so does my old Tonk boy, Ko. Being inbetween the pair of them in bed, its snoring in stereo.

Great news Jeannie, so glad Tarzan's heart is healthy and well.... Love your description of the night time chorus too...

I remember how interested you are in Tarzan's pedigree, so that will be good finding out his mums pedigree... very interesting..

Awww glad you got good news, it seems we all suffer from the pain of snoring, is it me or is it just the worst sound in the world

Whew! Reading this I am now even more grateful that my hubby and non of my kitties snore! It's peace and quiet at night time for me! (well... except for the occasional sounds of night time kitty play and littler dish pawing)

That must be such a relief for you that little Tarzan's heart is fine. yay!

Thanks guys :) One reason the murmur scared me is the weird circumstances with the people we got him from. I think their heart was honest... We went with one I hadn't researched. They only started their program two years ago. Had a fantastic male. Tarzan was half the price he should have been and they went out of business after his litter was sold. They have sold their breeding stock also. The male and three females. They kept their F2 female. She came from... Shoot I can't think of it but they are pretty famous here... Bamboo something. And, not giving me info on his mom. I know all the warning signs were there. We both fell in love with him when we saw him. He truly is one of the prettiest I've seen. So when she mentioned murmur I thought for sure they had HCM in their line. But he is healthy beautiful and, well, my baby :) So maybe they didn't want to continue for honest reasons, but you can see why I was nervous.

I do go sleep in the guest room sometimes. The problem with that is two of my snorers come with me.

Oh Jeannie - I'm SO relieved to hear Tarzan is okay. I can only imagine how worried you must have been, I know I would have been fretting!!

Glad to hear he has a clean bill of health and can't wait to see new pics of him soon
xx

So happy for you that you don't have to worry about Trazan's murmum anymore. As for snoring...well... all I can say is thank goodness for earplugs! Lol!
