Hello everyone! My name is Rose and I am a Kiwi from Auckland NZ! I have been lurking on here the past few weeks reading lots of info and learning all I can about these fabulous Bengals! I am very excited to be bringing 2 of these beautiful babies into my own home early Jan! A silver spotted and a brown spotted, both boys :)

I am currently owned by 2 Keeshond's Kody and Dakota, a 4yr old Seal Smokepoint Birman boy called Jesse and a 10yr old Seal Lynxpoint Ragdoll boy called Mickey. Tragically I recently lost my beloved Bluepoint Birman Beau (Jesse's 1/2 brother) to a car on the mainroad, had to have him put to sleep on my 50th birthday which broke my heart as you can imagine!

My Husband and I have decided to add to my Petsitting Business by manufacturing and selling cat enclosure systems to save other people the heartache of losing their beloved cats to the dangers of cars, cat fights, being stolen/lost, dog attacks etc. These enclosures will be made of strong mesh, be self supporting, modules that clip together so they can be easily moved, taken apart if you go to a new home etc. They will have aerial tunnels between the enclosures and accessible via a cat door from your home to the garden, have hammocks and ledges for sleeping and sunning themselves on/in. We are hoping to have the first one (our own) up and running before our little ones come home to us.

I have named my little Brown spotted boy Marley but struggling with a name for my silver boy so if anybody would like to help me with some suggestions I would appreciate it :) Marley is Show quality so I will be entering the show ring with him later on in 2010 which will be new and exciting for me! My Mum used to breed and show Persians many years ago.

Could somebody tell me how to put pics here please as I would love to show you all my babies?

Go into the Gallery section. Near the top is a sticky called how to upload with tinypic. This tells you how to do it

Hi & welcome to the forum :D
How very sad to have lost your boy on such a special birthday, that must have been awful for you
I hope your 2 new Bengal babies will bring you lots of joy & I hope many people order your new enclosures to keep their own babies safe! What a lovely legacy for your boy to have left.

Thank you for your messages everyone. Here is a pic of my beloved Beau who was hit by a car and so badly hurt we had to have him put to sleep on my 50th Birthday in Sept! We are going into this enclosure business in memory of him so Lord willing it will be a successful venture and we will be able to protect other cats from harm!

Hi rose and welcome. Sorry for your loss, but what a wonderful way to direct your grief by building enclosures. Looking forward to hearing about all your furbabies.

Hi Rose and welcome to the Forum. So sorry about the loss of your kitty, but what a wonderful new venture you are starting. The enclosure you describe is exactly what we want for our Bengals but of course NZ is way too far away. My ex Mom in law lived in NZ for many years on North Island.. I always wanted to visit there it looks so pretty.
