One excuse first, Tasha is my first Bengal and I knew NOTHING about bengals when I got her. Well, after I got her I found out bengals can have glitter. I was so curious about it, noticed Tasha's fur was so soft and she had this incredible shiny sheen like she had been oiled when she was in the light. I visited someone from another forum so I could see glitter in person. He took his cat outside and yes, when I angled my head I could see the gold glitter. I have to admit as much as I love her, I was a little disappointed Tasha had satin but not glitter. Well, my house gets a lot of light but it is diffused, not direct. Tasha does not go outside, not even with a harness. Yesterday she was laying in the sun with direct light and I went to pet her and saw...GLITTER. She is glittered everywhere except her tummy. It shimmered gold and she looked like she was just glowing. I have had this cat 9 months and just now find out she is heavily glittered! I am so excited! Now that I have seen it, I can't NOT see it. Also, Tasha is getting irritated with me picking her up to place her in sunlight, lol. (By the way Miki, she is a little "sparklely" but not as much as Rudy of course!)

Aww, it might have taken you a while but now you can see her in all her glory. I love the mental picture of you holding her up to the light and her wriggling to get away

Hehe that's so funny!
It's lovely that the one thing you wanted her to have has come through for you now, glitter looks so special doesn't it?!

I just got a toy for her to play with and held it up in the direct sun so I could see the glitter. She is tired of me picking her her to hold her in the sun, so I'm being more tricky. Is it possible it wasn't visible when she was a younger kitten? I am going to come up with a special nick name for her which describes it.

I didn't have a clue was glitter was. When i saw my boys in bright light i thought they were really pretty with the gold sparkly bits. I didn't realise it was a good thing! Now I am on this forum I now know!
