I was so happy to find this site and the stories/info shared. We have always had cats but this is our first Bengal...and we love him so very much. We had a rough summer I broke my ankle/foot in June and found out it was quite bad (seven bones), had surgery and a week after my surgery we lost one of our cats (heart). Made a bad situation that much more difficult. So we had just our persian, Boo. He seemed to know he needed to give me more attention and was quite loving the whole summer. At the end of September we decided Boo and us needed an second cat in the house and I was doing better but still not walking. We went to a cat shelter and were actually denied a kitten because we had an adult cat at home over six, Boo is 6-1/2. After arguing the fact with the shelter, well long not so nice story, we were on our way home and my husband said lets just get the cat we always wanted. I researched breeders and found this family with two breeding females and a stud. They had six children and the litters were raised in the home and were very socialized. Turned out they had a litter of four ready to go.

We put a deposit down and in a week went to see the litter. We changed our kitten to a larger more outgoing one. Who became Tarzan. We adore this cat. We've had him two weeks now and are hooked on this breed. He is not only beautiful but so entertaining. He gives Boo fits...good natured fits. Boo seems to enjoy the fact that Tarzan will not back down from him. My husband is a contractor and building a special cat tree in the corner of the living room. He sleeps between us tucked into me usually. He's vocal and loud at feeding time. We were concerned about him and food, our food. But found that telling him no and setting him down is working, he just observes meals now. He's extremely smart.

I was a little worried about being on crutches and a new kitten, so I put them away a little earlier than I was supposed to. Its been two weeks and I am walking with a limp but I am walking, so he has been beneficial in more ways than one. He made our summer, especially mine. Thanks for letting me share. I'm trying to copy and paste a picture and having a little trouble but will figure it out.

Hi Jeannie,

Wow what a story!! You have been through so much!! My heart goes out to you.

I hope everything is ok with your foot and you make a speedy recovery. It sounds like Tarzan is settling in well with Boo and you both and I know he will bring you many years of joy.

There is a "sticky" at the top of the Gallery page which tell you how to post pics, you have to upload them into Tinypic first, but it's failry self explanatory, I managed it first time and I'm really backwards with computers!!

I look forward to seeing pics of Tarzan and Boo.

Welcome to the forum!

PS - I have to say I've been desperately trying to think of a name for my new Bengal I'm getting in 6 weeks time - have gone through every name I can think of and as soon as I read Tarzan it jumped out at me - what a cool name!!!! I hope you don't mind me hijacking it if it fits the boy when I get him?

Hi & welcome :D
Sorry for the loss of Heart & your accident too, but hooray for Tarzan! Bengals do change your life don't they?!
I'm glad he gets along with Boo, both very different breeds so it's good that it's worked well.
We have a breeder on the forum who has a large family & fits the description...I wonder if that's where your little man is from?

Hi and welcome to the forum. It's great that Tarzan and Boo get along so well. Hope your leg continues to improve - must have been a painful experience.

Yes, use Tarzan. We took two days trying to name him. We had a past cat named Tarzan and for some reason were reluctant to re-name. In the end we both thought it fit him best. Its flattering that you like it too.

Thank you for your kind comments. The ankle/foot is better and I can tell eventually it will be back to "almost" normal, close enough. I'm still working on the photo thing. I thought I was pretty good with computers and for some reason I'm having trouble with this. I found someones instructions and I think it will help.

Everyones cats are so beaImageutiful. I just realized what I am doing wrong...

The previous pic of Tarzan looks like he was being naughty but he was playing and not as fierce as he looks. Boo is a beautiful gentle cat but he does have his limit. I wish I could get a shot that shows T's spots better. We look at him constantly and think remark how beautiful he is. But looking at your cats, you must feel the same. Thank you for letting me show their pics. I wish I had one that showed his rosettes better. I'll have to work on that. Have a good evening everyone....

Miki I thought you were the one with the new F2 kitten. He is gorgeous. I love his color and face. That is something I can't get over with Tarzan, his beautiful face. Thundercat, when do you get your new kitten. I can't wait to see him. I think this will be my favorite section of the forum.

Thanks everyone,

Hi and welcome. Both your cats are beautiful! I'm not sure about Bengals and jigsaw puzzles though!!! I can't imagine that happening in my house  Selina
