Hi there Marie! It's so nice of you to get a male Bengal for your husband's birthday. I can't wait to see some pictures of Jasper. :D

Hi Everyone

Why can't the information about importing pets into Cyprus be more accurate. My breeder and the export company said Jasper could travel 21 days from having his rabies vaccination. The company I'm using over here to collect him from the airport enquired and was told it was 30 days after having rabies.

So I researched it myself over the internet, again conflicting advice, some saying 30 some saying 21. I then phoned the Larnaca Airport Vet, Paphos Town Office and Government Vet who all confirmed 21 days, so I guess I should go with that.

Also turns out there is no guarantee that there will be a vet at the airport to check over Jasper and his paperwork.

Keep your fingers crossed for me that everything goes to plan. I will keep you all updated as he is due to arrive on 11 September.

Hi Everyone

Well Jasper is here safe and sound. My OH did go a bit mental at first but with the help of my daughter (I taught her that the way to go is to turn the argument around and make them feel guilty) he started to calm down.

Now he's all mushy with him and has given him lots of cuddles and Jasper has even been purring so he's starting to relax.

My girls on the other hand are so not impressed, lots of hisses and growls and that's mainly at me because they can smell him on me.

I will post a picture of Jasper over the weekend.

Marie

How exciting - glad your OH was won over fairly quickly. The girls may take a little longer but I'm sure they'll come round soon.

Just read this thread, glad to hear Jasper arrived safely. So he's already melted hubby's heart, the girls will probably follow. Can't wait to see his pics!
