Hi Everyone,

Just joined the Forum, great to have a place to go to when seeking information on these beautiful animals.

My first bengal is a female brown spotted. She is an ex breeding queen and I got her when she was 2 years old (now 7) and blimey what a shock to the system she was. Have always been brought up with cats having a bengal is so completely different. Rosy is very, very vocal and she will howl during the night if she's bored, angry with you or wants to get attention but I still love her to bits.

After having Rosy for just over 2 years I convinced my husband that she needed a companion. Welcome Milly who is now 4, we got her when she was 5 months old. She is a snow bengal with gorgeous blue eyes. What a difference between them both, Milly being raised from the beginning as a pet to Rosy having to get used to a family household at the age of 2.

My husband is in the forces and consequently we move around every 2 years or so. Since having the girls we have moved 3 times since and are currently in Cyprus. The girls flew over with us and are adjusting to the heat and have settled in really well and like to brings us lizards as gifts. I do try and rescue the lizards when I can. It was always the case that if I couldn't bring the girls with me then my husband would have come to Cyprus by himself as I would never give them up.

Now for the BIG SECRET. It's my husband's 40th in October and as a special 40th present I have just bought a male bengal kitten four months old and he is due to fly out 11 September. As a household of girls, (me, my 2 daughters and 2 bengal girls) he does feel really outnumbered and ganged up on constantly so I thought it was time he had some male support. Not sure how he's going to react but I'm sure he will love him to bits.

I will keep you posted on our new arrival next month.

Bye Marie.

Hi Marie and welcome to the forum. I bet your husband will be delighted to have another boy in the household, can't be easy being surrounded by all those girls

Might be a good idea to start a thread all of your own and then we can see Rosy and Milly (and the lizards  )

Hi Marie

Great to see you here and would love to see some pictures of Rosy Rednose after all this time (and Milly, of course)

Glad you got sorted for your little fellow. Hope to see some pictures of him too. Has he a name yet?

Hi Sue

Hopefully I have done this right, here is picture of Rosy, taken earlier this year.

This one is of Milly

I've got my kitten from Jill (Glitterglam), don't know his pedigree name yet but his pet name is going to be Jasper, he is absolutely gorgeous and looks like he's going to be a big boy.

Hope the photos work

Hi Marie, Welcome to the forum!

What a great surprise.

It's got me thinking, I live with my OH, son and three male bengals so I wonder if I could twist my OH's arm to get me a little girl bengal.

Thanks everyone for the welcomes. Thanks Sue for the picture of Rosy and her babies.

The girls are off to the vets next week for their annual jabs and rabies, no doubt they'll howl their way through the journey.

2 weeks and 6 days and counting for the arrival of Jasper. His flight should arrive at 1525 and I've got BFAWS collecting him for me and I'll meet them at their cattery for the handover. Just need to think of an excuse to go to Dhekelia without the husband. I'm going to get some blue ribbon and put round his box before surprising my husband with his wonderful present.

To Maibri, poor you being surrounded by all those males. I think you definitely deserve to get a female bengal for support.
