This is our second litter. Last time Jade had 7 kittens.
She´s now 6 weeks bregnant and she is humongous!
I was kind of hoping for smaller litter than the last one

What do you think? how many kittens is she going to have :)

 8 ^
Im kind of worried.
Last time we had problems, she came ill and we had to tube feed the babys,it was hard work with 7 kittens!
She had one placenta piece stuck in the uterus and that made her really ill.
She also seemed to stress over so many kittens fighting over nipples.
For first time mum, it was too large litter.

Hi Zohar,

There is a breeder who had a queen that birthed 10 kittens twice!!

She isn't a member of this forum as far as I know but Sue (Manic Cats) knows her very well. I'm sure Sue would be able to answer any questions you may have :D

Yup, Wyd had two litters of 10. She popped them out like peas
When feeding them she would put half behind her, let the first lot suckle then roll over and let the other lot suckle. Clever mummy.

I had a litter of 9 kittens in January this year :D All just fine although we did have to help mum out by topping up for a couple of weeks. The fun began when they all got mobile

I had Domino x-rayed. It really give a clear picture of the little skeletons and skulls of the kittens inside. It was pretty cool to see. From what I understand, it is best to wait until about a week before the due date before having it done.
