Hi and welcome, hope you have luck finding a new kitten!

I also wanted a kitten, but over here as a pet they cost £300-£500 which was out of my budget. Was thinking I would have to wait until June, my birthday and get everyone to chip in for one.

However I found a website listing hundreds of Bengal cat breeders. I live in London (there was only two in London), so I looked at the London sites and also the areas that are reasonably close to me (Essex, Surrey, Kent).

I managed to find a breeder who had a silver spotted rosett bengal kitten that she was willing to sell for a lower price as he was smaller than his brothers and sisters.

She told me I could have him for £100. It's all legit as he's registed with the governing bodies (can't remember the acronims), wormed, de-flead. He's had his vet checks and I will get all the papers showing his a pedigree and his blood lines.

He's too small to have his injections so I will have to pay extra for that. I get to collect him next Sunday (22/02/09!!). I can't wait!

So that's always an option if you're just looking for one as a pet and don't wish to breed them. Quite often breeders will have a kitten that's a little smaller, or not suitable for breeding or showing which could be because something as little as having a marking in the incorrect place.

Also, it's much cheaper to get ex studs and queens (breeding cats). I've seen breeders selling them for around £100 and they're only a year and a half old, so that's always another option.

Good luck with your search, I had to do a lot of research for my kitten, but I'm sure if you persue you'll be as lucky as me!
