Hello everyone!

I'm fairly new to cats (I've been mostly a dog person) besides the cats I had growing up. When my hubby and I decided to get a cat, we ended up falling in love with the Bengal breed.

We went to a few cat shows last year and talked to some Bengal breeders and ended up being put on a waiting list with one of them. We just got our new kitten a couple weeks ago, a silver female we named Denali.

We currently have 3 large dogs and she has loved them since the day we brought her home, especially our younger lab. Lol, we're learning first hand that they are a very interesting breed. She's loud, obsessed with the bathtub and sink, loves the snow, climbs the Christmas tree (and anything else that's in sight), and she even plays fetch (better than the dogs even!) Despite her crazyness, she is also a very sweet cat and we're very glad to have her.

Now onto the best part! Pics!

I have more too if you'd like to see them but didn't want to bombard you with them :)

I am also noticing how drastically her coat changes. When we first brought her home, she was all silver and black and a little fuzzy. Over the past couple of weeks, the fuzziness has started to go away, her markings are becoming more clear and she's starting to get brown on her face and feet.

Anyway, I look forward to meeting and talking with other Bengal owners!

She is currently a jerk to hubby as she only attacks him (especially when he's trying to sleep or getting ready for work, lol). She's very sweet towards me though.

She is definately a character. Right now she's sleeping in the bin for my paper shredder. Of course, after she had kicked most of the shredded paper out of it. :)

And some more pics

I got it at Walmart. They have a whole lot of different ones.

Probably not too good for cats bigger than 10 lbs since velcro is used to hold parts of it in place, but it's been a huge hit here with the crazy kitten :)

Yup! Definately a Bengal convert! Though I also have a Tonkinese who lives with my mom (she wouldn't let me take him when I moved out, boo) and he's a very nice cat as well. He's terrified of dogs so he wouldn't do well here anyway.

Lol, I'm already dreaming about getting another Bengal, though that won't be for a couple more years when hubby gets out of the Air Force and we buy a house.

Thanks :) She is definately pet quality but we really didn't care too much about the coloring, it was mostly the personality we were going for. (and she's definately got a lot of that!)
The breeder and I have been talking and he thinks it might be fun for us to do a couple of shows and enter her in the household pet division. Anyone else show their Bengals?

And some more Denali pics just because :)

Her favorite toy! A wadded up piece of paper! And we bought all these fancy cat toys for her.... Go figure :)

Her meeting my mom's HUGE black cat Shadow for the first time. Lol, he's about 4 times the size of her. She was so mean to him, hissing and spitting and he just sat there like "What?" It was very cute, when she was downstairs he would be upstairs meowing for her to come up, and vice versa.

Let me out!!!

And her favorite way to lay, on her back

Welcome! :) I use to live in Loveland, so I love seeing more CO people!

I love that cube, I might have to go to Walmart and find one today... except my Sammie weighs 12.5 pounds... hmm.
