On Sunday Sept. 28th I will be picking up my new bengal kitten. He was born on June 18th. The breeder we are getting him from is a member of the TICA & TIBCS. I also done some research on the breed itself and thought that it would be good if I also joined a forum. I have two other cats that are not bengals but are tabbys. One is 11 and the other is 5. I talked to the breeder about it and she thinks that he will get along fine with my other cats. Me & my husband have wanted to get a bengal ever since my husband's cousin got one. I also have a 9 yr old daughter. I consider my cats my furry children. My cats, daughter and husband are the loves of my life. I am a stay at home mom and been told that is what a bengal cat needs since they need lots of attention. I have attached pictures of my new bengal and also have attached a picture of my other two cats.

If you have any advice that you think I should know please feel free to write them to me.

They are all fabulous cats. I love the picture of him with the cheetah! Only one more week. You'll have to keep us updated with more pics. Do you have any names picked out yet?

He's lovely!

I see your two resident cats are getting their rest in prior to his arrival :D

Keep posting photos and let us know how you get on.

Aww, he looks gorgeous. My only advice would be to be patient with the introductions. You might want to keep them separate for a couple of days to let the kitten settle in, although often they're the confident ones and it's the resident cats who have the problem  I did it the opposite way round and introduced moggies to my Bengals. I ended up just letting them get on with it themselves - it was a bit nerve wracking for a while but things have settled down now.

We want lots of piccies when you get him home.

We are going to name him Cooter after the mechanic on Dukes of Hazzard.

My other two cats that are not bengals are named Max & Buddy. Max is the marble tabby who is 5 and the fat one is Buddy who is 11.

Hi Cooters Mom!

I notice you live in IA. I am picking up my new snow girl from a breeder in IA in early October (Driving there from Colorado). Just wondering if the breeder is Nicole?

Cooter is very cute! Love his adorable face! Congrats! :D

I guess my other boys are going to have a rude awakening when we bring cooter home. I went out and got cooter a bed though so he has his own little place to call his own. My couch is big so all three can lay on it but no one else will be able to sit if we have company over. :D

Thanks to everyone being so nice! 8)

It's going to take me awhile to learn the way you all talk over there across the pond.

"mogs" general term for cats...some refer to cross breeds as mogs, others call all cats mogs/moggies/moglets.

"bagged" claimed.

hope that helps!

Of course the world famous Dolly and the Moglets are a feline entertainment group from the far northern reaches of England. Comprising 4 members, they're led by senior feline, Dolly, ably supported by the 3 junior moglets, Samson, Delilah and Poppy. They sing and do acrobatics, they terrify and entertain, they frustrate and reward - you're guaranteed a rollercoster of emotions whenever you're in their company
