I have now had these kittens for two weeks, and they are no longer scared to wander away from their safe nest behind the sofa. This has led to me wondering where they are all day, until I hear mysterious scratching/rustling/thumping noises. Upon examination I'll find them waking up in some obscure place, and they use different ones each time, like they're testing where they're going to settle down :)

So far I have found them: In the bottom draw of my desk, in a shoebox in the shoe cupboard, in the wastepaper bin in my bedroom, in my handbag and nestled up between two books leaning against each other on my bookshelf.

So, what tiny little place/area you really don't want cat fur/ thing that you were just about to throw out does your cat like to sleep on?

Hmm, the bottom drawer of the stove (they managed to crawl in from the back), the duct work above the furnace, underneath the wood stove, on top of the ceiling light fixture in my laundry room, on top of exposed ceiling beams in the basement, inside the china cabinet (with the doors closed - no idea how they managed that), in a drawer underneath the bathroom sink, and pretty much every paper bag or cardboard box no matter how small.

Though I have to say my fosters Katie and Suzie were much more inventive in finding obscure sleeping places. Mikesch and Binky are boring by comparison - Mikesch loves to sleep in their carriers, believe it or not, and Binky spends most of his sleeping time in one of the cat beds. And when I wake up in the mornings, they're both on my bed.

Chaos will just sleep on any of his cushions/hammoc/cat tree but Onyx sometimes will get under the couch (by digging between the cushion !) or sleep on the kitchen high cupboards

Mungo loves sleeping on freshly ironed laundry whether it's on the table, in the basket or in the linen cupboard. Belle likes being high up and will sleep on top of the fridge/freezer or the kitchen cupboards. She's far superior to us of course and it's only right that she should be looking down on us mere human slaves.

Well in my house it's quite simple really, Wherever they choose. It maybe a pile of fresh washing, ironing, my bed, my computer chair, their own bed, the bath and often my lap knowing I won't dare move even if I'm busting to go to the toilet.

goblin likes to sleep on top of my computer when it is turned on.

it took me 3 weeks of shouting at ben for leaving my computer on before i realised that there is a secondary power button on the keyboard that the little monster has been treading on (he likes the click of the keys)
